BIG WINS ALL ROUND
By popular demand, the final weekend’s schedule also included a low stakes Main Event to accompany the $1,000 buy-in Main Event. The inaugural $27 Hold’em Main Event Turbo, Low-Stakes Edition was contested by 23,662 entrants, which was the largest field of all 66 events. The winner, ‘posetuta’, scooped $52,367.61 – not a bad return for a $27 buy-in.
On the other end of the spectrum, the High Roller event buy-in was increased to $3,000, and 569 entries battled for a share of the $1,625,712.66 prize pool. The UK’s ‘vicenfish’ was victorious, winning $287,969.33. However, the day belonged to ‘maxv2’, whose victory in the Main Event over a field of 3,583 players secured the spot at the top of the TCOOP earnings tree.
PLAYER OF THE SERIES
The TCOOP Player of the Series title went to ‘caprioli’ who topped the leaderboard with 400 points thanks to three final table finishes (the most this year), including taking the title for TCOOP-11: $82 PL Omaha [6-Max, Progressive KO tournament]. ‘caprioli’ also tops TCOOP’s all-time list of Most Final Tables. The player adds $10,000 to their winnings and a $1,000 ticket to the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Main Event, meaning more chances to shine when SCOOP rolls around. Second place went to ‘Lena900’, who won $5,000 cash and a $1,000 SCOOP Main Event ticket.
